College Bowl Season vs. College Playoff System

So as the holidays are in full swing, that also means the College Bowl Season will be in full swing soon. Do you believe the college bowl games have lost their luster because of big payouts and should the NCAA come up with a playoff system for teams at the NCAA Division I level?
