Gissy closes on property July 30

By Jeff Bryan

With the approval of Rainbow Springs property owners and a lease agreement now in place, Jim Gissy will move forward with plans to renovate the now-defunct Rainbow Springs Golf & Country Club, turning the former facility into the Rainbow Springs Community Center.

Gissy will close July 30 on the purchase of the facility, after agreeing to purchase it from Mark Kaprelian said he and his wife, Kasia, who closed the doors to the decades-old venue in January 2015. The closure came six years after the couple purchased the country club and golf course for $2.4 million.
