Team success paying off for individuals

By Jeff Bryan

Still unbeaten and ranked third in Florida Associated Press Class 4A Poll, members of the Dunnellon High School football team are beginning to earn individual accolades for guiding the Tigers to a 9-0 record and District 4A-4 Championship. Running back Rudy Sinflorant, offensive lineman Javonte “Baby Jay” Johnson, linebacker Zahid Hujurat and cornerback Qua’Shaud Smith were chosen to represent the Florida Athletic Coaches Association District 7 Big Schools First-Team. All four are seniors for the Tigers, who close out their regular-season schedule at 7:30 p.m.
